  1. Call the Illinois Trade Com

  2. http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/depart...

This is where you can find all the info you need.

  3. Try going online to the State's Department of Corporations. Nowadays you usually don't need an attorney or accountant to do this because most states have online forms you can fill out electronically and let you pay the fees with a credit card. Remember though that laws about filing forms and paying other fees after you file to start up the company can be complicated and that if you don't know how to set up sales taxes, federal tax filings and EIN numbers, keep regular records the state requires, ect., you better do a lot of research or get help from somebody with experience you are sure knows what you need to know. The Small Business Administration has free classes you can attend for new business owners, and there are plenty of general knowledge sites on the web. Try www.myownbusiness.org for starters. Good luck.

PS, you can check for corporation name availability and for other businesses on line at the State's corporations site when you get on it before you file your own.
