  1. most franchise's carry a 100,000 dollar start up cost minimum. Most companies will require that you pay in cash and not a loan to make sure you dont put the company in forclosure. You are able to franchise through their websites and calling their hotline  numbers.. Starbucks is actually cutting back hundreds of stores so you will not have a lot of luck getting a Starbucks now.

  2. try the web http://www.franchiseadverts.com/?gclid=C...

or go to a franchise exhibit. Cost vary depending on what it is

  3. You can't "franchise" Starbucks stores at the moment. Usually what you do is visit the site, and find their franchise page. Then they have info on what you need to do. Most of the time you fill out some paper work with ALL your info, then the contact you, and you go from there. You pay, and sometimes have to go through training.

There are different prices. They range from a few thousand to hundreds of thousands for some restaurants, and even a million for Harley davidson.

  4. read Small Business for Dummies.

It is really good start. I liked it.

  5. What specifically interests you about Starbucks or Jack/Box?  As a Franchise Consultant, I help franchise seekers find the right franchise business for them every day.

Many, many times, clients come to me thinking that they want this franchise or that franchise before thoroughly checking into all aspects of the business.  My services are free (see my website below).

For example, one client of mine was sure that he wanted a specific restaurant franchise.  After I provided the financial requirements for that business (most are very expensive), not to mention the type of lifestyle a restaurant allows for (or actually doesn't allow for), He quickly realized that a food business wasn't for him.

I then showed a franchise in another category that was much less of an investment, provided plenty of family/free time (he wouldn't need to be married to the business), and utilized his skills and interests.  He was grateful for me helping him finding the right opportunity for him.

Keep in mind that there are literally thousands of franchises.  As a consultant, I’ve sorted through them for you, showing you only the ones that meet your criteria.

Contact me and we'll discuss what’s right for you.
