How to open a ladies rolex watch band

Question

ladies rolex watch the band is metal. the band won't slide open. the band on the exterior side where the clasp is has the rolex crown symbol. I have been trying to press the crown symbol hoping it would release a locking mechanism to make the wtach band to slide open, but i can't. I do not know if the crown flips to unlock but it does not.
