NOT A QUESTION, BUT AN ANSA............................
Anyone interested in stripping down the motor area of a Vax 2000, (MAKE SURE UNIT IS NOT CONNECTED TO ELECTRICITY SUPPLY) first remove the 2 black cross head screws form the black plastic carry handle where the on / off button is. This effectively reveals the inside of the handle. At both ends of the open handle, where it meets the motor housing / body (orange plastic) you should find a 10mm bolt. The one about six inches below the on / off switch is obvious, but the one at the opposite end of the handle isn't. To reveal the other bolt head you need to unscrew the 2 black cross head screws that hold the electric cable clamp in place. With this removed, you will now see the second 10mm bolt head. Remove both bolts and carefully raise the orange casing. Be careful not to stress the connected cables. Disonnect the cables if you need to remove the motor. Before re-assembly it's worth tightening all bolts etc, visible inside the housing, as these may have loosened over time due to motor vibration. A fairly simple task, no expertise required. A 5-10 min job.Tools required - Small cross head screwdriver and a 10mm socket.
