I have many little questions on how to organize a stable.

1. Is it better to hang up multiple lead ropes on one hanger or tie them in those knot s the new wrapped ones you see in the magazines?

2. How do you wrap a lead like the ones in the magazine?

3.What's the best way to clean/make a halter flexible again?

4.What's the best way to get M-E-S-S-Y water buckets clean (but making sure the product is safe for the horses)?

5.How does someone make homemade fly-spray?

6.What is a better bit to use on a bossy mare for a moderate rider (teenager who knows what she's doing but needs more control over a lead mare, and can't change horses)?

7.What is a good way to organize a halter rack?

8.What is a easy, safe, and efficent way of removing spider-webs, and wasps nests from a tack room?

  2. 1. & 7.)  I hang the halter and leadrope together.  Each horse has their own (With nameplate on the nylon halter), then hang the halter by it's crown strap and drape the lead over it.  I normally hang they alphabetically...Babe first, Buddy Second and so on...

2.)  The wraps in the magazines are basically an elongated "hangman's loop", they do the same thing when wrapping the lead that's leftover from a hackamore macate.

3.)  Best way to clean a nylon halter is to put it in the washer when your mom isn't lookin...HeHeHe

4.)  Best way to clean a water bucket?  LOTS AND LOTS of elbow grease and a good stiff brush.

5.)  Not sure on that homemade flyspray I use REPEL-X.

6.)  As for a bit on the strong mare, you didn't say what you're currently riding her in so hard to make a good judgement call there.

8.)   As for the spiders and wasps, clear EVERYTHING out of the tackroom and get some spray and kill 'em!!!!!!!  Then sweep the room out and put your stuff back in it.
