I'm 15 years old and my room is a MESS! It is not very big and I have a walk-in closet being renovated into a space for clothes and a desk for makeup. I would like to know ways I can organize my room so it isn't so messy. I need to organize:

1. Books

2. CDs

3. Large stuffed animals

4. CD player

5. Cards

6. Purses and Bags

7. Pictures

8. And more

Please HELP!

  1. from target you can get a shelf thing with boxes that pull out... look at the target website under the college tab.  they have some cool ideas that are perfect for a 15 year old, and it's not too expensive.

  2. OK - 'organize' and 'teen room' seem to be an Oxymoron. *grin*

    A couple of tips:

-CDs - take all CDs out of cases - thow out the plastic (or store them in the loft) and put all CDs in a CD case - you can keep the inserts and other 'packaging' in the same 'folder' in the CD case.

-Books - keep the ones you read often on a small book case and store the rest (or give them to the library)

-Stuffed animals - keep the ones you love and give the rest to a children's hospital.

-Pictures-  keep the ones you love and scan the rest to the PC and put on facebook etc. store or throw out the hard copy.

General - if you haven't used or looked at something for a while then you probably don't need it - if you must, then store it so you can 'rotate' stuff - otherwise give it away (or sell it on ebay).

One additional idea - if you have an mp3 player or iPod - you can burn all your music to the PC, play it on your iPod and then store the original. As long as you don't share the music then it is legal to make a digital copy....

  4. They sell awesome like 9 or 12 symmetrical cube shelfs that fit wicker baskets or ones that you like better (plastic, wood, etc). Buy a shelf get cute baskets that fit to the size of maybe half the the little cubicles. Then stuff the things like stuffed animals, cds, maybe some book and magazines in some....then set up the cute things pictures, memorabilia, etc in the others...If I were you I would display your cute purses above on a cute coat rack or decorative hooks...and stuff the rest in a bin. I will add links.....added some options from the canada ikea...look around for more :)

  5. Hmm this is what I'd do.

    1. Books- Find a shelf to put it in

    2. CDs- Have them stacked somewhere near your stereo

    3. Large stuffed animals- Have them in a corner of your room and maybe have that as a reading corner or something, maybe they can double up as pillows x)

    4. CD player- Have it on a desk or something that's not in used, but has some height.

    5. Cards- What type? If they are like cards you get in the mail & if they look nice, hang them up! x)

    6. Purses and Bags- Put this under your desk for makeup

    7. Pictures- Buy a large picture frame and make a college out of them x) if you don't want to cut the pictures up buy some albums or make a scrapbook.

    8. And more- Try making up categories. Here's what I do. For my school stuff I have a self that contains papers, binders, notebooks, etc. Shoes I have them in an over the door shoe rack, jewelry goes into jewelry boxes...

    I hope that helps! x)
