  1. try to space out your school work accordingly each day...don't wait til the last minute to do all of your work at one time..utilize weekends...plan ahead...keep a planner...get rid of distractions (tv..etc)

  2. hmm, same here. I feel like I'm dead most of the time. On most days, marching band practice ends at 8, and I'm not allowed to go home after school, so it's pretty much me doing homework beginning at 8. I take all honor classes and an AP class, so right now, it's ok, but the workload is starting to pile up. I didn't believe someone when they said that you'll stay up until 3 in the morning, until right now. My dad forces me to study math for two hours everyday, so it limits my time ecen further. Why? He's an accountant, and I got a B in geometry my freshman year. Do the math. Urgh, so basically I'm getting a maximum of 4 hours of sleep per day.

Try to do your homework whenever you have some free time. Have a  specific number of hours classified so that you can finish. Sometimes, I find it easier to form a pattern. Hard, easy, hard, so that you'll have somewhat of a break between the hard ones to rest your "brain". Do all work, and drink some water to keep you awake. I chew some gum and listen to rap just so that my head won't fall onto the table. Try not to have any distractions like the TV and cellphone around you. Focus only on your work. Don't lie down, sit up, and have bright lights on.

  3. I had the same problem as you. School ends late and then straight to baseball practice.

Time management is the key. Try doing Hw in school (during lunch or maybe even during class). If you can't, as soon as you come home, do your hw. Even if it means doing it while eating dinner. It does not have to be perfect. Just do it. Once your done and have time study.

SPend more time doing the difficult classes then the easy ones. In a matter of fact, I never studied for the easy classes. For example, math, I always consider hw as studying. So there is no need to study that.

Try to go to be earlier then 12 if possible. Don't spend anytime on computer, phone, games,etc... Also use the weekends to catch up. Do most of your studying then.

I know you will have no social life, but you have to do what you have to do. It's part of being a student Athlete. I had the same problem. If worse comes to worse, you could always quit swimming

    Good Luck

  4. I had the same problem you have the last couple of years, because i would come home from school practice my violin then go to dance practice. One of the thing that used to trip me up a lot was distractions such as the tv and the computer. I would get on these and not get off and then i would try to do my homework in like 2 hours when ive had way more than 2 hours worth. If you are absolutely doing your homework as soon as you come in from swimming then there are a couple of things you can do. if you get an assimement that is due 3 days from the day you get it like assigned ed monday due thursday, then try to work on that as much as you can during the week even if you have other homework due the next day. don't save till last min. trust me on this. the teacher is giving you more days on it because it's a longer assignment something that can't be done in one night. use the free time you have doing nothing to study or something, you find you may get things done faster, like if you have free time in english class and you have science homework you need to do work on that then. I also use lunch as a time to do the homework i got that morning, that way it's fresh in my brain and i get it done before dance. I also talk and stuff too. don't isolate your friends.  and if you have a long drive from the pool to your house and you don't get carsick you may want to work on something then. I know its a lot of work and it stinks having to give up some chill time to do homework, but you can relax on the weekends. but don't not do your homeowork then! i use sundays to catch up because they are kinda relaxing! I hope you find this helpful!

  5. I borrow this answer from my son. As soon as he gets home work he gets it done during the class itself or during recess or during lunch. Also, he keeps time and review every 15 minutes for the last 15 minutes. today at 28 he is asst. dean and finishing his phd.
