Alrite well i just started grade 12 on tuesday and ive got econmoics, accounting , english and adv functions(math).. the first two arent bad but the last two english and math are really tough and i know i have to give 110% to achieve a good mark. After school im so like depressed and sad with the whole workload we get and when i get home i go right into it which takes me like a good 2-3 hours. This however is ruining my social life have no time for friends after school, and it feels like its pilling up. I know this being grade 12 my last year at highj school being all importent it is but i never knew it was this hard, i dont want to coem home every day feeling like this.!! At night i can watch a tv show helps get away from it for an hour or so and i went to the gym last night which really helped. But do you guys have any other advice?? All advice is welcome =)

  1. omg dude me too. i just started senior year and its h**l, i have english psychology history and film studies. and you have to give it your all this year if you want to get into a good school its soo draining i m depressed too. and my grades have sucked the past 3 years so im going to have to buck down

    good luck

  2. ahh my senior year schedule is really hard too! i play tennis so it helps get rid of some stress. since i'm basically in the same classes as all the other advanced kids we do calc, american lit, physics and human anatomy together. it gives you a social life as well as good grades. it sucks, but i guess it will all be worth it. :) Seniors '09! :D

  3. Hey I'm in grade 12 too YEA!  gotta love it at the end though :D

    Grad of 2008!

  4. I know it's really hard, but trust me in the end, it's worth it. You remind me of middle school when I had trouble with math homework, and it literally took two hours to do JUST math homework. But what I did was on weekends, I finished my homework on friday to just hang out and have free time on saturday/sunday. Or, you can always hang out right after class ends on friday and do your homework on sat/sun. If this is seriously too difficult for you, then talk to your guidance counselor and see if he/she can put you in an easier class. Also, if you're having trouble with math (or just question answering) you can always just do them with a friend online, 'cause this is how I did it too, although it can get distracting I got my homework done and I could talk to my friends at the same time. But then you also remind me of the first day of high school, because I thought it was incredibly hard. But trust me if you keep at it, it'll be worth it and sooner or later you'll get used to the workload and look at it as a normal homework day. Anyway good luck to you, I hope you make a decision to your liking and don't worry, it's just one more year ;]

Oh and around my area, freshman year is more important above all the other grades, so I mean if it's the same there. Big woop if you get a bad grade once, but if you work hard enough and study tons I'm sure you'll do fine.

  5. I want to first of all say you're a trooper for being a "soon to be graduate" and you're still hitting the books hard and doing what's right for yourself.  The worst thing you could do at this point is slack off and run around in your down time from school and your grades slip at your last chance.   You can only do this once... do it right.  I'm 26 yrs old, 5 yr old boy, everyday is a struggle, and it started as a junior in high school.   Don't lose focus.  You're going to have many chances to have a wonderful life and you're not missing ANYTHING in the meantime.  As long as you're doing whats right for your future.. you GO.  I believe in you and I don't even know you =)
