How to paint Drawer?

I'm planning to paint my old drawer. I don't like the color anymore. What should I do first? Should I sand it down? Do I use a primer? Also, do I use a paint brush or the roller ones? I'm completely new at this.

You need to sand it a little to provide a surface new paint can stick to.  Then primer, then the top coat - it may take more than one top coat.  A brush will give you a smoother finish, but a roller will go faster, so it depends upon the look you want.   Use latex paint for easy clean up and quick drying.
