  1. Be aware that ONCE YOU PAINT IT... you will have to PAINT IT EVERY YEAR... painting the topsides of a fiberglass boat is the worst thing you can do if you are not prepared to paint it every year.

    THAT is the voice of experience.


  2. Why do you prefer a 1 pt part?   I used 2 part epoxy paint 4 years ago and it still looks like it came right out of the factory. I put on two coats after lightly sanding down first dried coat. I would imagine 1 part would need to be repainted in a short time (i.e. a year or so).

  3. Brightside® is a one-part polyurethane topside finish that has the ease of use of an enamel with the high gloss of a two-part polyurethane. Brightside® contains Teflon® to resist staining and improve abrasion resistance. Brightside® is available in 24 bright colors.

    You have to prepare the surface properly, apply as Interlux suggests, and the finish will last for years.  It will look like an epoxy finish when apply correctly.
