  1. That isn't as easy as it sounds- since the tubes are different diameters some of your squares will go all the way around the tube making it one solid color so your frame will end up with stripes instead of checkers.

The easiest way (and it isn't easy!) to do this would be to paint the whole frame white, then wrap the frame with masking tape, one width at a time, and cut your checkers out of it. This way you can match the corners of the squares (which will actually turn out to be irregular quadrangles) as the diameter and shape of the tube changes.

One other possibility- but it is expensive- is to buy checkerboard masking tape. I know it sounds funny but 3M makes it. It is difficult to find but most auto body suppliers can get it for you. The problem is that, again, the squares will all be the same size and some will look like stripes instead of checkers.

  2. you should get the base paint professionly sprayed if your not willing to spend money just do the base colour yourself. then go out to a local art shop and buy a checkered stencil then spay it on.. Id probly take every part of the bike and do it all seperatly too!! Hope i helped!!!

  3. Try painting it a base colour

    eg. red

then get some masking tape where you want the checks and then paint it again??????????????????
