How to paint??????????

i'm moving soon!:) i want to know every thing about painting. i'm 14. and if u know some websites that's good to. i can use any information. including what i need to buy like paint bushes, trays, and what is the best paint for under $20? also how many paint buckets i need to buy for a normal size room. thanks for any little or allot of help :)

I'm not a pro by any means but I worked as a painter this summer, so maybe I can help.

If your walls have cracks you need to get a spackling cocompoundo repair them, plus a spackling knife. If you've got any tape or other gunk on the walls, be sure to get a scraper to remove it. Prepping your walls is very important! You might also want to use a primer on your walls. It can make your paint job a lot better.

You'll need drop cloths, rollers, paint trays, a paint stirrer, regular brushes, blue painters tape, and a ladder.

I'd suggest using a Killz brand paint. It's more expensive but it's guaranteed to go on in one coat, which is going to save you money. As far as how many you need, It all depends on the size of your room. However, in most cases 2 gallons should be more than enough.

There are tons of websites that will help you out even more. Just do a gogoggleearch. Also, don't be afraid to ask the sale rep at your home improvement store for help. That's what they're there for!
