  1. does you say xp or vista? what os you will be using it depends, all they say is for windows xp. for vista its another story. :)

  2. If u wanna reinstall Windows and all that, then use the Windows CD, boot off it, and follow those instructions. OR, goto the Disk managment console in Windows and create a new partition without wiping Windows

  3. When you format you'll have the option when installing Windows to make partitions.

You'll need a full version of the o.s. Restore CDs will not work. IF you don't you''ll need a program like partition magic or the sort.

  4. Partitionmagic

  5. You just need an OS installation Disk like win XP pro. Press del key upon turning on computer. To get into bios setup.

Configure bios on 1st Booth to CD-rom drive save and exit configuration. Press enter upon reading to booth from CD-rom drive.

Delete existing partition on Installation blue screen options. Create partition. Enter the desired partition dividing to 2 on how many Gigs you want for partition I would suggest a 40 - 80 gigs if you had 160 gigabyte hard disk.

For 80 gigs its 40:40 ratio, create a partition by pressing C and L to erase whatever data there is. Make sure you had back up files.

Install fresh copy to C: drive, you could name the D: drive later or format this for use, on windows disk management.

Wait till it makes its progress remember your SN number on your bundled software. Skip all internet update.

Never update to internet, unless your PC says so. So this is it, happy installing.

Just to enhance your system, install your video card seperately and audio card drivers. Test your media player and your video card upon booth up.

    I hope this helps.
