Question:

How to pass your g1 road test (to get your g2)?

Ok so I just had a few questions, if anybody could help me out that would be great!

1) What is an automatic fail on the g1 exit test (to get your g2)? I know things like speeding, not stopping at a stop sign, hitting the curb etc, but what else is there? ive seen on the sheet there is a side that says "Summary Reasons for Disqualification" .. if you get any of those boxes ticked does that mean you automatically have failed?

2) On the score sheet, there are Xs and checkmarks they put down, how many points off is an X worth (ex, 2 points?) and how many points off are a checkmark worth?

3) Has anybody completed the test at the Oakville, Ontario locatoin? If so, could you give me any tips please and thank you! And if anybody remembers the route they took?

Thank you so much!

  1. well there are a few things that are automatic fail. but keep in mind that the large part of it really depends on who your instructor is and what kind of a mood he or she is in.

when i got my g2 a couple months back i actually hit the curb during a downhill park and still managed to pass.

a few things that are automatic fails are:

not having your hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel

also make sure you pass over to the right lane after making a left turn

and sheet has 3 different marks on it X, check mark and an "OK" they don't really have point values but if you accumulate enough it will equal a fail and even accumulating 1 serious one can be a fail.

One other thing is when you approach a road that begins to divide into lanes make sure you stay to your right because i hear this too is an automatic fail.

best advice i can give you is do not stress it just go in and drive like how you would always drive and keep a watch for any road signs and traffic ahead.
