I need to buy a Macbook. It's a gift. I live in the UK but the one who I am going to send it to lives in the US. I do not want to buy it from here and post it to the US. Does anyone know if there is any company that I can pay them the money and use their credit card ? or something similar ???

  1. Yes.

First off, call Apple (the best option) or e-mail, in the USA. If they dont allow a UK credit card, try asking Apple-UK if they would process that particular order with your UK card and have it sent to the USA address. If that fails,

    (1) US Personal Shoppers.com

Note: Try ask them for a special quote on your one time need. Be sure to include the url of your US order with all details and specifications.

    (2) J Dean Reps (New York City) might do it for ya.

Otherwise, there are many US Mailbox merchants that offer this service providing you subscribe to their services such as, signing up for your own US address. Anyways, no harm in asking one of them without their mailbox services.

    (3) MyUSABox.com (BuyForMe) New York City

Not sure how reliable are the others. Finally, go with the best rate or whatever suits your confidence or fancy. Hope it works out.

  2. Easiest way of doing this is to send the money to the recipient so that they can buy the gift locally.

You can do a direct credit transfer from your bank to theirs virtually instantly on-line.
