  1. Fill out the FAFSA and hope for the best.  You should normally get at least a certain amount of grants to help pay (grants you don't have to pay back).  But if you have to, take the loans.  Student loans have among the nation's lowest interest rate so thats not really a problem.

    Google FAFSA.

And 2.6 is not close enough to a 3.0, unfortunately.

  2. What I would do is go to your local university and talk to one of their financial aid officers.  There are grants scholarships for almost anyone. Check out this website.  Also you may want to know do not have pay for this information.  If you need do some web searches

  3. get a job

  4. The first thing you need to do is fill out a FAFSA. You may qualify for a Pell Grant. The application will also ask if you want Work Study or Student Loans. You should choose both. 2.6 isn't bad, but it may not be enough to get a scholarship right off the bat. What you could do is do well once you go to college and apply for school scholarships then. That will help offset the cost. You also need to check out Americorps and UPS Earn and Learn Program. And don't forget to check out a few updated scholarship books at your local library. Good luck.

One more thing: If you plan on doing a health career try to get a job at a hospital. Many will pay for some of the tuition.

If you want to teach, you should be able to find a federal/state scholarship.

If you need to work during school and can get a job through the college, some will give you a discount on tuition.

  5. With such a low grade point average you should try community college first. They're pretty cheap. Try to bring your grade point average up and then apply for grants etc.  They don't take you serious if your GPA is low.

  6. First and foremost FASFA is the way to go. It would be wise to go to an Instate college/university so that your tuition can be less. Your gpa won't matter as long as you get in. Once you get in then you will be able to start over (concerning your grades). Within our first and second year you will get work-study. Unfortunately they pay minimum wage. It is in your best interest to bust your behind and doing your job and getting acquainted with the Faculty and Staff. If your work-study money ever run out then they will be able to help you get a job and those jobs pay much higher than minimum wage. If you have a job then you will be able to get a job around the college/university. Also if you work on your gpa you can apply for scholarships in the college/university and and also online. Subscribe to the scholarship sites. Don’t buy any textbooks until you start the class. Some of the classes don’t use book and some you can find online. Also some of my professors put the textbook and/or their notes online. So we didn’t need the book. Most of the upper-classmen have the textbooks and would sell them relatively cheap. Check your Facebook and ads around the school for that. I went to school for four years and never bought a book. I hope this helps if you would like to know more you can contact me at info@tawagenterprises.com have a blessed night.
