Question:

How to pay for college with no support from parents?

I'm having a hard time trying to come up with money to go to college. I'm attending UCSD on a full ride on tuition and books. All I have to pay for is housing which a few of us are planning to rent an apartment. Problem is in order to get a loan, you need a co-signer. My parents refuse to help me. I do have a job - but the job is not enough to support me to pay rent, let alone groceries and other miscellaneous things. I do not have credit and I only have one job.

Do I have hope? Is there some type of loan I could possibly find that will help me withhout a co-signer?

  1. federal student loans do not require credit history or a cosigner.  fill out the FAFSA application and stay far far away from private student loans
