ok a couple of months ago i went to this dealer and bought a vw jetta 2.5 year 2006. It's a nice car and bought it for 17,000 and with total prices it went to like 24 i think.

Well anyways, I've been making my payments on time and now i want to get rid of it. i probably still owe like 20,000. Now I want a used (cuz i can't afford a new one) lexus IS350 which i can probably get for like $25,000.. How do i get rid of my VW and get that one? any tips on not to make a bad move and end up in a huge debt .. how do i work this out.. help i really want this car!!!

  1. You are not in a good position to get a different car. You are already seriously "upside down" on the VW. You keep saying want...not need. Keep the VW for a few years and put some extra aside for the next car each month. That way, you won't be so far in the hole immediately after buying.

  2. Please do yourself a favor and keep the VeeDub. It ain't glamorous, but it safe. You can easily upgrade. Use vwvortex.com. The Lexus will kill your insurance, you will wreck if you don't learn how to drive in the rain/snow, and please please please don't buy one to put a f**t can exhaust on! It will not make it go faster...

    You know it's a bad decision based on how you wrote the question, so here you go:

    Nice set of VW OEM rims off vwvortex.com = $500

    Front spoiler +rear Valance = $1500

    Grill Kit = $250

    GPS Nav = $250

    Killer Head Unit = $1000

    Awesome Speakers = $500

    TOTAL = $4000

    Not buying a used up Lexus = Priceless

    Which is about what you'll lose trying to get into the Lexus. Get it?

  3. First of all, how long ago did you buy this VW? It sounds like you def got screwed on that deal. Do your homework better next time and know how much you should be paying for a vehicle first. If you've only had it a few months there's hardly anyway your gunna be able to get outta it with out being upside down money wise. The best thing to do is to keep it another year or so and then try again.
