  1. The tool that makes the small holes is called a "Paper Tiger" and it makes the job alot easier. Also, instead of just warm water or water with fabric softener, there is a chemical you can buy at any paint store, Home Depot, or Lowes called DIF. Dif is completely non-toxic and it is mixed with warm water.

Paper Tiger the walls LIGHTLY then spray the DIF/Water mixture on the wallls wait about 10 minutes and spray again. Using a 6" spackle knife, peel back a corner and the paper should come off easily. For areas that are still stuck on, spray more of the DIF/Water mixture and wait a minute before scraping.

After all of the paper is removed use the DIF/Water mixture with a sponge and wipe the excess glue off the walls.

If you are painting the walls, make sure you use a good primer before you paint as the walls may have residual glue.

  2. I hope you are patient, this is one of the most tedious jobs I've done. I would recommend buying or renting a steamer. This will melt the glue for you and the paper will come off almost by itself.

  3. Mix a bit of fabric softener and water and spray it on the wall paper using a spray bottle.  If you have carpet make sure you cover it - the fabric softener could possible take out the colour.

  4. They make a tool that you run across the old wallpaper and it punches holes all in the paper.  You then take a spray bottle and spray the area you went over with the tool.  Wait about 5 minutes.  The water soaks into those small holes and the paper "bubbles up" giving you something to grab on to and peel the paper off.  Good luck with this.  I just got done doing this in my bathroom.  Not the best of times.

  5. well the easiest way is to use a cloth with warm water on it rub on the wallpaper then peel it off with a scraper but be careful not to damage the wall.
