  1. d**n navy seals huh. Thats a tough job for a tough guy with a tough heart. Any parents will wobble a knee for that lol if u want u can simply join the navy and get them sign and have a feel for it.. then wait till 18 then go for seals without parents signing any papers

  2. when you turn 18 they have no say in what you do...so you can go right up and join w/out their permission

  3. I would've also suggested to do the ROTC route, however since your plans are to be a SEAL that might be hindered by ROTC. The reason is because officers rarely get to go special operations. Usually its a team of spec ops and 1 officer commander, so technically it should be easier to be a seal if your enlisted, rather then officer. I'd suggest you show your parents that your making a conscious decision to serve your country. Don't get into trouble and try to explain your point of view to your parents. Eventually they'll see that your making a well thought out decision as a responsible adult. Plus, once your old enough to enlist you dont need your parents permission ;-). good luck with that man.

  4. Wait two years, they will have no say then. Also that would give you a chance to finish high school..........

  5. well for one you need to show your parents all the benefits you will get once you join. your parents are probly just scared because you are so young. and if you havent talked to a recruiter yet you need too. once you do the recruiter can help you persuade your parents. trust me its gonna be hard to persuade them but its worth it. the navy is a great future. but a word of advice. join the navy and get all the hard stuff out of the way before you go out for seals.

  6. you have to show your parents are serious that and just take more responsibility around the house and train hard, few people make it thorough BUDs see your recruiter as some other guy said, SEALs aren't just physically fit their also the smartest guys in the Navy.

  7. You'll have to be 18 to join, so you don't need your parents' consent.  Just talk to a recruiting officer once you're 18 and they will help you get started on testing.

  8. if they wont sign for you and you are serious about joining then just wait until you are 18 so that you do not need their permission. they probably just want to make sure that you have really looked into this and are sure that you want to join. once you join you can't just quit if you dont like it. your parents are just looking out for you. make a life plan for yourself and list all the reasons why you want to join. maybe sharing this with your parents will help them to see if you are really serious about this or not.

  9. If you want to be in combat arms, going for Navy SEALs is not the smartest choice. If you flunk out, like many do, there are not many other combat arms branches in the Navy. Tell your parents that whether or not they like it, you're going to join, but you'd rather do it with their approval. If I were you, however, I'd rethink the whole SEALs thing. Maybe them not signing for you is better for you until you realize  SEALs attempt is not the best route.

  10. First, finish high school. Make sure your grades are very good. You also need to spend the time working out and spending a lot of time in the pool. The seal school is very rough to pass. You must be in top physical condition. Also, don't smoke or do drugs. You will need every bit of conditioning to pass SEAL school.

  11. its the service of your contry any true American would sing in a heart beat......their probly worried that you;'ll be sent to iraq telll the the seals arn't deployed in iraq if you parters are jsut liberals thought good luck they'll never sing...if not jsut wait a year train you bod and enlist when you turn 18

  12. I suggest waiting on the SEAL thing. It is very competitive. I heard a recommendation of knowing some physics and Calculus. If you already have taken those classes and are in or will be in amazing shape than I guess you could go for it. If you want a better chance at making it though, go enlisted, not officer (even though an officers uniform is better looking).

  13. I understand your parents' hesitation.  I would suggest you show your commitment to your parents by finishing high school while also joining something like an ROTC group.  Show that you are dedicated to joining the Navy and eventually they will respect your decision, but wait until you are a little older. When you are eighteen you can make your own decision and they will be proud of you and supportive, I guarantee it.

  14. u cant join the seals without a highschool degree and if they say no just wait till ur 18

  15. For now just do your best in school. The Navy wants smart people and the more you learn in school the better you will be in the Navy. When you're 18 you are a free man and can join without permission from anyone. Keep in touch with a recruiter and he will help you get ready to join. He will tell you what classes you can take in school to help you get ready for the Navy. Be patient. It will come soon enough.

Thanks for wanting to help defend my FREEDOM ! You have my respect...

  16. wait until you are 17 and i am almost positive they cant stop you im 18 and im enlisting and they havent stoped me despite there disapproval. just get all your papers started because it takes a long time to get in. im on month 3.5 and still not enlisted yet

  17. Once you turn 18, and graduate high school, your parents won't be able to do anything about it. So just wait 2 more years.

You can use this time to get it top physical condition, and you can go online and look at what routines they do, so you can set up your workouts to mimic what they do.

  18. Convinve you parents that soldiery is a noble profession.
