Question:

How to pick a good box for two 12" Kickers?!

The Kickers are 12" and peak at 1500watts each, I was going to get a Kicker 3000w amp or 2 1500w amps [Which is better a better idea!?]

How do I choose a good box for this?! Thanks...heres 3 I like [personally 2 & 3]

  1. try going to bestbuy or circuit city and just ask for reccomendations

  2. Just buy a box that is "ported"that fits to the kicker specs, and You only need one zx1500 amp to push them 2 12's, never go by peak, they are useless numbers......

  3. Make sure you're talking about RMS watts and not peak watts. When talking about car audio RMS is what you need to look at and it's also the numbers used for those amps. Assuming the numbers are RMS (i'm guessing you might have them mixed up) then no need for 2 amps when you can get one. You'll save money on wires and keep it simple at the same time. Lastly, you should realize that the boxes differ more than looks in case you didn't know. Research how bandpass boxes make your subs sound. Ported and Sealed boxes too. I prefer sealed boxes because I like my bass tight.
