How to pickpocket?

I'm doing a report on the art of picpocketing and wanted to know how it's done and if it needs to be done in teams?

i really cant help u in the way of tips or advice on this topic.  HOWEVER, i do know something you can put in your report.  

REPERCUSSIONS OF PICKPOCKETTING:

my uncle tim was just 14 yrs old when he started pickpocketting.  he and 3 of his older buddies used to go to the fair, the amusement parks, and the malls when they were bored, and pickpocket.  anywhere there was a large crowd, was where they liked to go.  after they had stolen about $2,000 from people, one day they got caught.  they all three had a nice long stay in juvenile hall.  the stay in juvenile hall, caused Uncle Tim to have to repeat his sophomore year of high school.  his entire second year of 10th grade was h**l.  a complete nightmare for him.  his three other buddies had all moved to different towns, so now uncle tim really didnt have much in the way of friends at his school, and those who he attended with made him the butt of all their jokes, saying how stupid he was and how he would never go anywhere in life, and would probably work at the piggly wiggly or some menial job at a car wash or a gas station.  uncle tim did not fight with these students, but he forged my grandmother's signature on a document giving him permission to drop out of school.  for the remaining two years of his high school, he faked going to school.  instead of being at school, he spent his time shoplifting and selling the hot merchandise on the streets.  uncle tim did not get caught selling the hot merchandise on the streets until he was 22 years old.  by then, it had become obvious to my grandparents that he had dropped out of high school behind their backs, but as soon as he was caught shoplifting and selling the hot merchandise, they told him after he served his jailtime, he was to come collect certain things that they had decided he could have (most everything that was of value to uncle tim, they had thrown out), and then he was to leave their lives forever.  uncle tim served 6 months in the county jail for this offense.  when he got out, he went to my grandparents house, and the entire family was there, waiting to smack him upside the head, hurl abusive words at him, and basically make him feel like doo doo.  it worked.  uncle tim gathered his belongings (what was left of them), and was told that he had no business communicating with anyone in our family ever again, and he never has.  i think he was ashamed at what he had done, but the world will never know the truth, because he still likes to rip ppl off.

I read this book where a kid needed a movie ticket so he yelled "Help! I lost my ticket!" And all the people checked their purses and jacket pockets to see if they still had theirs so the kid new where they where and he stole one
