  1. DON'T DO THAT! I have a pierced nose but I got mine professionally done! Even then it got infected and I promise you the pain is not to be believed! Please, please don't do it yourself! Most places can do it very cheaply, especially if you get it done with the gun rather then the needle!

  2. [edit] Steps  ;Read this article in it's entirety before beginning.

Examine your nose. Do you have any blackheads? Zits? Pimples? If so, wait a few days, or weeks, and wash your face regularly. These may lead to infection if you pierce right over, or very near, to a blemish.

Grab an earring with a very small stud. It has to be really small to start with, but if you don't have one, get a nose ring, and just use the smallest stud you have, and maybe after three or four days, you can change it to the nose ring.

Get your nail file and start sharpening that earring! This will be extremely painful if the earring is not extremely sharp.

Mark your nose where you want the stud to go. Look in the mirror. Does it look right? Or is it too low, or too high? Move the mark until you are content with it.

Clean your face one more time.

Clean the earring VERY carefully. Leaving it in solution for a few min, or longer, normally will do the trick, and wash it.

Take a deep breath, put the tip of the earring on the mark, at a slanted angle, of course, and push. This will hurt, a lot, but just bite down on something.

Congratulations! Wash it two times a day, and leave this particular stud in for about six weeks before changing it out with something else.

[edit] TipsIt's highly recommended that you mark it, then look at it in the mirror to see if you really like it or not.

If you think you may have an infection at ANY point, do NOT remove the stud. If it continues to worsen, go to a doctor. (If you remove the stud, it may trap the infection inside your skin.)

Your nose will be red and sore for a while after, that's normal.

Putting ice on your nose before piercing it will numb some of the pain.

[edit] WarningsPlease be very careful! Don't pierce ANYTHING with a safety pin or sewing needle.. Those are way too sharp to pierce the skin with, and they make the piercing more prone to infection.

dont pierce it with anything other than a hollow needle.

[edit] Things You'll Needvery small stud earring that may closely resemble a nose stud

    strong nail file

sea salt/ear care (NO hydrogen or alcohol)

  3. Get some ice in a plastic bag and just put it over that area of your face. (don't hold it there, otherwise your hands will go numb. Get a sewing needle and decontaminate it (i.e. burn it with a lighter, or boil it.) Then, when that's done, wrap something around the finger you'll be pushing with (other wise the end jabs into your finger really deep). Stick something up your nostril that it WON'T go through easliy. Once its up there, make a small mark where you want to do it. Position yourself in front of a mirror, brace your self, and push.

I wouldn't advise it, however. It's painful, and you may stop halfway through. Professionally is better, and less likely to get infected.

  4. You should be very careful. In your nose is ao organism called MRSA. This is harmless unless you disturb it. If it is disturbed and gets into a cut or wound it will start to eat the flesh. There are no known cures and patients die every day in hospitals because of this.

Everything that you use must be sterile. The surfaces that you wish to pierce must be absolutely clean. Place a pad inside the nostril, then with a sterile needle pierce a hole. You will need somethng which will stop the flesh from growing back over the hole. A silver stud which has been sterilised is useful at this point.

When the hole has healed you can remove the silver stud and put in the ornament.

It is far better to get this done by a professional.
