I am planning a holiday to a Sardinia with my girlfriend because I heard the beaches there are amazing. Are they as good as I hear? I was just wondering which part of Sardinia to visit and whether anyone could recommend some hotels as well? Thanks in advance =)

  1. Go to www.sardiniatravel.net you'll find everything you need.

  2. you can go online and find out everything you ned to knowabout where you will be staying to how much it will cost you

  3. Irishman in Italy here.

Yes, Sardinia is extraordinarily beautiful, and the beaches as good as anything you will see in the Caribbean.

Best places are in the North of the island. BUT avoid the entire month of August...totally, utterly, completely crowded. Not even enough room to turn around.

As for hotels, I suggest you speak to a good travel agents. They will be able to get you what you want...but, be prepared to pay...it's an island, and life on islands costs.

Hope this helps, and happy holidays.

  4. Go right now. Stay in the Torreruja hotel in Isola Rossa. Sardinia is mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  5. Just  a tip: Check with travel agencies you can later knock their door if something goes wrong. Even for hotels, online travel agencies like EXPEDIA might look great but they can ruin your trip. read this: http://www.victimsofexpedia.com

  6. Hello Alex I do not speak English very well but I know the Sardinia very well :)

A paradise to the Gulf of Orosei: the beach of Bidderosa. A natural oasis of beautifulst to the world, fine beach and color the intense of the sea.

The Beach of Cala Luna to the Golf of Orosei, Cala di Volpe in Costa Smeralda.

For hotel you can see this link. Ciao Deborah from Toscana

  7. The beaches are wonderful and you won't be disappointed.

For which part of the island to visit, it depends on what kind of vacation you'd like.

If you want a quiet vacation, where you can stay at the beach, hike, swim, relax and enjoy an unspoiled environment I would suggest Ogliastra, which is the central-eastern part of Sardinia. Cala Goloritze' (http://www.destinazionesardegna.com/foto...  Cala Sisine http://www.sardinien-haus-am-meer.de/sar... and Cala Luna (http://www.danheller.com/images/Italy/Sa... are three stunning pearls in that area. If you wish to visit Ogliastra, I would recomend staying in Cala Gonone, a good place is the Hotel Smeraldo.

Another area that I particulary like is Villasimius, in southeastern sardinia. (http://www.sardegnadelsud.com/foto/sud-e... The beach is crystal clear, and the town is lively enough to be fun but not too much to be overwhelmed. I would recomend the Tanka for your stay (http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-374132-t...
