How to plan my trip from Seattle to Vancouver using Amtrak ?

Hi, I will be reaching SEA at 9:30 am from SFO and plan to take Amtrak to VC during the long weekend. Can someone please help me out to find out the nearest train station from SEA airport from where I can take a train to Vancouver ? Preferably if you know which one is the fastest to reach and is there any prior booking of the tickets required ? Also Im a bit concerned with the visa stamping in this case ? Where do I need to get it stamped if Im traveling thru train ?

Would really appreciate if someone could respond on this asap.

Seattle to Vancouver BC has several options. Amtrak now operates two daily trains between Downtown Seattle and Vancouver BC. To reach the Seattle Amtrak station from SeaTac airport just board a Metro transit #194 express bus (cost $1.50) from the end of the baggage claim area and get off at International District Station which is only one block east of Amtrak's King Street Seattle station. As an alternative there is a company called Quick Shuttle which has direct motorcoach service between SeaTac Airport and Vancouver,BC for about $10 above the Amtrak cost. Lastly there is another company called CanTrail (formerly Canadian Trailways) which operates supplemental bus service between the Seattle Amtrak station and Vancouver,BC to offer greater departure choices. For optimal time consider Quick Shuttle. Good Luck!

You might consider taking Quick Shuttle instead, which goes from the airport directly to Vancouver.

Vancouver Washington Or Vancouver BC?

you dont say and Amtrak stops at both of these cities

You can take AMTRAKs "Coast Starlight" from San Francisco (actually in Emery) to Seattle's King Street Station. I am almost positive that you have to transfer to a bus in Seattle to take you to VC. Call AMTRAK to be sure.
