    BTW, Volleyball rocks!!

  2. I'm sure your coach will explain a lot of this, but the basics of it is that you always want to get to the power or strong side as soon as possible after a pass or switching off a serve.  In the back row you will be playing left back and trying to get all the short balls.

  3. You have it the easiest in a 6-2.

When your team is receiving and you are in the front row, you will pass and you may have to hit off power for the first hit and then switch.  As soon as you can, switch to power and stay.

When your team is receiving and you are in the back row, the setter is always playing right back.  Switch as soon as you can after passing.  I am not sure if your coach wants you to play middle or left side.  Many teams have the Libero play middle back, so you would be playing left back.

When your team is serving, switch as soon as the ball is contacted to your power position if you are front row and wherever your coach decides you are playing in the back row.
