How to play itunes with 5.1 speakers

I have 4 speakers with 1 subwoofer, i would like for the sound to play though all the speakers, anyone know how this works?

You first need to purchase another speaker to complete the 5.1 package.  Secondly, you will need a receiver to process the sound coming from your computer or ipod and amplify that to the speakers.  Make sure the receiver is processing that in "5 channel stereo".
