I've played tennis for almost 2 years.

And I don't think my tennis skill is improving.

What can I do to improve my tennis skills?

I take classes, I practice tennis 2 days a wekk.

What else can I do?

  1. Get a tennis instructor to work with you for one session...if you improve and you can afford the lessons, schedule more time with him/her.  They are trained to teach you proper technique and form.

  2. first you should obviously practice more than twice a week. if you don't train enough your game will never get better.

second...all the best young players that i know don't even go to school coz they train so much.you know, you can't be a half time tennis player if you want to be a pro.

and last if you wnat to be a pro...well i mean do you relly know what you wish for?

it takes years of hard practice and sweat to play like the best players play.

  3. Play against people better than you and notice your weaknesses and try to see what they are doing and work on those points when you practice.

  4. Depends how you mean by improving, I think the same way, but if you weren't improving you wouldn't be serving harder and all that.

If you want to improve these areas here is my advice!

Serve= Try and do virtual serves without any balls to get your stamina and duration going, it will increase and help you.

Backhand= I always just tap a very soft backhand on a brick wall, then I got at a mediocre level, then a very strong backhand on a brick wall, do this for 30 mins, every 10 mins increase the level.

Forehand= Try and put cones on a court and try and get it to aim in those cones, for each time you miss, do 1 push-up.

Volley= With volleys they are very hard to control, since you have not much time, so much to do! with volleys just try and tap it right in front of the net so they can't reach it!
