  1. What form of poker are you playing?  7-card stud?  5-card draw?  Texas Hold'em?

Did you do a search for poker sites that explain the game?

  2. You need someone in person to teach you about poker because there is so much to it but once you learn it it's great fun. But I would get the poker table after you have fully learned poker.

I guess I will help you online though.

Here are you basics. You check when you have nothing or a low pair. You bluff when you have something bad and on the table there is a good card like a ace, king, queen,or,jack. Or you can bluff when there is a big pot. You should fold a low pair or a mid pair with high cards on the table.

You should keep a high pair, or anything ranked higher than that.

Here is a list of hand ranks with worst on the bottom and best on the top.

                                        Royaal flush

                                      Strait flush

                                     4 of a kind

                                     Full house

                                    Flush

                                      Strait

                                   3 of a kind

                                     2 Pair

                                        Pair

                                     No pair

Look up these meanings on the internet and you will learn A LOT.

                                        Glad I could help- Ian

P.S- Once you learn a great poker website is www.pokerstars.com

  3. your talkin about holdem right? ok unsuited low cards should always be folded. but if you want to bluff with them.. and when it comes to your turn and you can check.... Raise it... but if you cant check id fold.. only raise before the flop with low cards unless there are not many people in the hand. Suited conector cards like  say a 9 of diamonds and a 10 of diamonds would be a good play just to see the flop though.. Pocket pairs are always good to stay in the hand which are like two fives in ur hand or whatever.. face cards are the best hands you can get like Ace King is a really good hand and Ace Queen or Ace Jack but only stay in to see the flop with Ace Jack cuz somebody will Probably have a Ace queen or better so if you hit a jack on the flop stay in..

  4. Pre-Flop play (Part 1)

Everyone is dealt two cards, face down. Simple enough, right? Well, looking at your cards seems like an easy task, however it will determine the entire tone set for the hand. The key is not to look at your cards until it's your turn. And don't bust out your cell phone and text your friend at the next table. Look at your opponents' reactions as they look at their cards. Did you see it? Did you see that look of disgust on someone's face, and the eyes of another player light up? Well, it's these subconscious pieces of information that you will need to determine whether to hold-em, or fold-em...
