How to play the Mega Million lottery?

I was listening to the radio at work and i heard the mega millions lottery is up to more than 200 million. I have done those scratch offs but never the mega millions and figured I would give it a shot, but I have no idea how to play... I live in Virginia any help would be appreciated.

According to the Mega Millions website, Mega Millions is available in your state (VA).  The easiest way to play is go to the counter of a retailer and ask for however many tickets you want to buy (they are $1 each) and thell them you would like autopick. This is where the system randomly picks numbers for you. If you want to pick specific numbers, the agent will have cards and pencils available and you can fill this out with your desired picks - they will then scan the card and print your ticket.
