How to play the acuoustic guitar?? HELP

I got an acuoustic guitar, and i don't know how to play it! haah. i start lessons tuesday but i don't want to look like an idiot. so pretty much how do you play? lol the dude and the guitar shop said that twinkle twinkle little star was easy heres the link: http://www.guitarmasta.net/m/misc/279715.html

So what do the numers mean? and how do you play it?! haha.

I take piano so i know the notes. but what are the notes on the guitar? like any pics? or step by step tutorial? thanks!

You're a beginner, so don't feel like an idiot. Every guitar player at the beginning doesn't know what to do, but we all get past that. I did with a good teacher. :-D

Oh, haha! My version of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is not like what the link is showing, but whatever. It's still the same.

Anyway, the numbers represent what fret you place a finger on and you'll be playing the song on the 6th string (the string closest to the ceiling).

Your teacher will most likely give you a sheet of the guitar neck with all the notes on it, it's fairly easy to memorize and understand. :-)
