How to plot the velocity time graph?.

i have 8 ticker timer with different length.now i want to plot the velocity vs time graph.it is the time is the same.since that 10 dots is equal to 0.2 s.....wat is the time?

  1. You will plot velocity on the vertical (y) axis and the time on the horizontal (x) axis. All you have to do is plot the values and connect all of them by a line. Make sure velocity is given in meters per second (m/s) and time in seconds (s) unless instructed otherwise.


  2. The timer puts a dot on the tape every fiftieth of a second (0.02 seconds)

    The distance (that you could measure with a ruler) between each pair of dots, tells you how far the thing moved in that 0.02 seconds.

    Velocity (in m/s) is [distance in metres] divided by [time in seconds.]

    I'm not quite sure, from your description,  what experiment you are doing.
