  1. Do you have a goal in your back yard? Or a goal that you can use?

Practice running towards the goal, do a fake and try and place your shot in the corners. Pretend there is a goalie there and really pump to make the imaginary goalie move, or better yet, find some one who plays goalie, and have them hop in cage.

Chances are, that they might like to help you, because they would get some practice in cage, and working one on one really helps you learn what works best when you are shooting and it helps the goalie learn to watch the ball instead of moving with the fake. It's a win-win situation!

There are lots of different fakes you can practice. Try faking low and then shooting high, and do the opposite, fake high shoot low. When you are faking use your body and head, not just your stick. It sounds weird but it really works. Your body makes a much bigger motion that just your stick so you can move the goalie more, and have a better chance of scoring.
