It is very difficult to judge the curving path of the cue ball, even for professionals.  The best way is just to practice and see how the path of the ball changes as you change your stroke (elevation, amount of spin, follow or draw, how hard you hit it).  For an approximation, the final direction of the cue ball will generally be parallel to the line from where the cue ball is touching the table to where your cue stick is aimed at the table.  It may be difficult to understand without a diagram, but you can email me if you need more information.
