  1. It's been a long time time but I recall that if you place the slide cover on the specimin, then add water with an eye dropper by touching it to the side of the cover you will avoid getting bubbles under the cover.

  2. It certaily dependends on what it is your trying to look at but in my experience,

    1. place your object on a slide

    2. add a drop of water (or enough to cover the specimine)

    3. grab a square of plastic film or another slide

    4. now this is the tricky part or all you wil be looking at is bubbles, slowly lower the plastic square onto the slide from on side to the other taking care to push the air bubbles out as you go.

    5. look at it in the microscpoe and confirm there are no air bubbles.

  3. **Clean the slides, of course.  Put your specimen in the very center, use an eye dropper to add your liquid.  Do not let any liquid reach the edge of the slide.  There should be equal liquid on every side. Lay or drop, the other slide on top of your specimen slide.  You want to try to get it even and centered the first time.  You have to redo it if you don't.  Make sure that once its laid flat, you get out all the air bubbles, and both slides are touching each other on their entire surface.  If this is done right, it shouldn't move around very easily at all.**
