I am a Chinese International student and I will take SAT on this October and November.

I came here just a year ago, so my practice test scores are not very good.

math 720

reading 440

writing 450

I wish to attend a great university in America,

So I want to find out a quick way to improve my SAT score.

especially on reading and writing...

Thanks~

  1. ur math is goodd, so i don't think u needa concentrate there

for criticcal reading, try to buy a book wit SAT vocab, study and memorize tho, thats the only way to really improve that section

for writing, read more books, it helps ur grammar and stuff

i suggest u to go to a bookstore or sumwhere to buy this SAT book its the CollgeBoard SAT study guide, it has practice questions and test in there to help u prepare

  2. Read! Read a lot.

But don't go for the "classics" that Chinese people seem to care so much for. Charles Dickens? The man was paid by the word. Wuthering Heights? Good, not great.

Try to find easier, relaxing books in English that in Chinese, would be considered "useless." Take notes on what words you don't know---write them down while you read, 努力用上下文, and look them up when you finish. These words will be the small words that do not exist in SAT practice lists, but are very important nonetheless.

This will help your writing as well, and it must come first.
