  1. While some people do not consider this a distance event it is the third longest length that is swam competitively, so when I swim it I like to think of it as long distance. What I do is do endurance sets such as 10 100's on about 90% speed. Alos when you are swimming this event focus on your kick and turns. I get most people o my turn. Hope you do well.

  2. Well this is not a sprint yet not distance so it is a little tricky.  What you want to do is build your swim by 100.  I assume you are training in a 50 meter pool, if not it would be better to. Your first and last 100's you want to be about the same time and that time should be 5-10% slower than your fastest depending on if you are a sprinter or distance swimmer.  IF you are better at distances then you would be adding the 10% as a goal to hit.

  3. Swim distance.

That will build up your endurance

    always push it.

    U will get alot faster

  4. okay this is what you should do its is in the middle not a  sprint of long distance. so int eh first one hundred pace the first 25 then sprint the middle 50 then pace the 25 then repeat this in the next 3 one hundreds. but keep it at a fast pace, most people say go slow int eh beginning but this way you will get ahead a bit. also before at practice do the 4 hundred over and over so you get endurance at that length

    Good luck!
