I'm auditioning for the nutcracker soon and I need to prepare. Its my 5th nutcracker but this year's audition is going to be different because the audition is on pointe. They don't offer classes the week before the audtion so I've been training from home. Any tips to prepare? Things to eat, anything would be helpful

  1. Um. . . . just do everything full out, don't mark everything. Have some water with you, Don't audition for just one role audition for EVERTHING avaliable to you. Trust me, I did that once and ended up in a dance I wasn't happy with because I only gave myself one shot.

  2. well for the audition, wear ballet shoes with the padded toes so that your toes dont hurt

    drink a lot of water

dont eat grain or sugared drinks(soda,lemonade,etc...)

practice balance(standing on your toes, balancing a book on your head, hold on to a railing or something and do a tree pose)
