How to prepare well for a track race in one week?

i have an important track meet coming up next saturday and i need some advice on how to prepare for it. i'm going to run the 800m, so how should my practice be like for the next week so that i will be fit but not tired for the race? thanks!

  1. eat well and get plenty of sleep this week and make sure you eat well the night before and the morning of it


  2. my coaches always say that if youve been training for a while so your in shape, the best thing you can do is work on the technical stuff right before a race (ie. block starts, form, pace, etc) but then again..i do 100m dash so it might be different!!

    but id deffinatly say get good rest and eat properly..

    oh and the day or so before DONT tire yourself out..save yourself! go easy..
