  1. Go to "how to dry flowers at home" web site..lots of good ideas there..hope this helps

  2. Try using a dehydrator. I've used one before but it doesn't work with every  flower. This should take only a few hours.

  3. To dry it, hang it upside down (perhaps in a doorway) for a week or two. That'll give you time to find out what to do next.

  4. actually..If you don't have a flower press. You can put it in between two paper towels *with no dented pattern on it or it'll show on the flower* and put it in between a stack of books..the weight will press the flower..then after a couple of weeks..it'll dry out flat * the paper will suck up the moisture*. Then you can frame it, maybe with a few other smaller flowers and make a flat mini arrangement. Its always nice to have a framed flower or flowers. Different as opposed to putting it in a glass case which is what a lot of people do. The coloring wont be the same, it'll have a faded out darker look. Drying out flowers upside down is a good idea, but in the long run, it would get moved a lot or shuffled around and eventually start falling apart. Framing flowers that mean something to you is a great alternative.

  5. It very much depends on what bloom you have.

Roses can be either hung upside down in a cool dark place to dry or stood in a vase with no water to dry naturally.

Blooms like Daisy and Pansy are better pressed.

Carnations can be stood in a vase with no water.

    Mums do not preserve well.
