How to preserve strawberries? It develops molds within two days even in refrigerator.?

Yes, I kept them in the same container as I buy.

  1. Berries degrade quickly even when stored in the container they come in particularly if ONE is more ripe than the others, because 1) air can't escape and it traps the gas which makes them decompose and 2) the rapidly developing mold spores on even one berry will quickly spread to others.

    Remove soft or overripe immediately when you see them, keep the berries loosely covered in a collander which lets air circulate, and eat quickly. Do not store "over time" unless you are willing to freeze them.  

    Strawberries freeze beautifully, and defrost quickly. Flash freeze them first, seperated on a plate, and then when they are mostly hard, place them in a baggie and seal tightly, Defrost a few at a time for your consumption or smoothie making.

  2. thats odd, are you leaving them in a plastic container that you bought them in if you did buy them, because that should preserve them.
