How to prevent Automatic Updates from restarting a computer while users are logged on ?

at that time automatic windows update is disabled in my windows xp system

For xp

Start  ----> run ---->  Msconfig

For Vista

Start  ----> Startsearch ---->Msconfig

Select the Startup Tab unckeck the application which you want and Click Apply.

right clik the update icon and exit

you can turn automatic update off  so go to control panel then security center and inactive it.
