  1. LOTS of water and an asprin before bed, and the same in the morning. Hangovers are caused by dehydration so keep hydrated!

  2. Drink plenty of water.  Hangovers are caused partly by dehydration that occurs when you drink alcoholic beverages.

  3. Its called 'hair of the dog' - having a glass of alcohol the next morning cures your hangover but not the tiredness.

Trust me, the thought of if the next morning makes you wanna puke but it works everytime. ( I only use this method if I have to go to work or else i just sleep it off)

Its so easy to say "just don't drink' but we all like to enjoy our social lives and have a few drinkies with friends now and then, nothing wrong with that.  So we all experience the 'hangover' occassionally, the above is to help get over it quickly when you do experience a hangover.

  4. Drink plenty of water before you go to bed. Get Alka-seltzer for the morning. Usually works for me.

  5. drink lots and lots of water.Alcohol causes dehydration, which is the hangover.

I used to chase my shots with water, never had a hangover.

  6. Drink plenty of black coffee before going to bed.

  7. save a little of what your drinking and have a shot or beer in the morning when you wake up... works every time.

  8. Hangover preventative;

Drink one liter of water. take two paracetamol. Keep water by your bed in case you wake up, sleep quality is important. make sure you aren't going to be awoken by noise or light (wear ear plugs and eye mask if necessary). Drink a liter of water as soon as you get up (before your shower). Start your shower slightly hotter than normal, give it a few minutes to raise your temp, then drop it to colder than usual for a few minutes.Take Diorlyte or some kind of electrolyte (post-diarrhea supplements for hydrating). Wait about an hour before you eat and make it high carb. Drink more that evening and repeat as necessary.

  9. Drink a glass of water after every drink of liquor. Or, green tea, and take 2 tylonol before bed, helps me every time!

  10. Drink lots of water, take an aleve, or a multi-vitamin

  11. Wow thats a tough one....lets see, you don't want a hangover.....how about DON'T drink!...or better yet...don't drink enough to get a hangover.

  12. Stop drinking. Do not fall asleep until the drunk wears off.

  13. drink a load of water before bed and take some painkillers too.

  14. lots of water, and take tylenol tonight, and eat greasy food!  It works for me, and others I know.

  15. water, water, water, water, water!!

Drink enough and it will take care of you.

    Pop a multivitamin as well

  16. after you are done drinking, drink 2-3 bottles of gatorade. if you pass out, then just drink them when you wake up. then go back to sleep for a while. it has helped me in the past. this will rehydrate you more than just water.

  17. What really works (and it's the only way) is to get the rest of the alchohol out of your body.

Some people would say, take a hot shower, workout, drink hot tea, etc, these are just to help you sweat and some of the alchohol would come out along with the sweats.  But really, it only helps you to get sober and it's not necessary a hangover-free guarantee.

I know it's probably not good for your stomach and throat (but then again, drinking is not good for your health, either), what I do is I force myself to throw up everytime after I drink too much, and believe it or not, I've NEVER had a hangover.

  18. Keep drinking right through, don't sleep, that way you delay the hangover until sunday

    seriously that's what i'm doing

  19. drink a few pints of water before u good to bed and before u started drinking u shud have eat a banana and drank some milk helps lines ur stomach x

  20. 3 asprin before bed. I know bad for liver but it works.

  21. I don't think anything can help you, buddy. My cousin's pug got into the eggnog on new year's eve and had a hangover the next day. Yes, I'm being serious.

  22. Stop drinking now and start drinking water.  When your body metabolizes alcohol, one of the substances produced is something that can make you sick.  When you drink a lot, your body creates alot of this substance, and until you excrete it, you tend to feel pretty lousy.

Alcohol is also a diuretic, or something that takes away water, so when people drink a lot, they end up dehydrated, which will add to your misery.

Water, water, water.  And no more alcohol.

  23. Hangovers are caused by a combination of toxic substances in your drink and dehydration.

Drink a pint or two of water or milk before you go to bed. This will help prevent dehydration and may also help to dilute the poisons in your bloodstream.

If you are going to bed slightly drunk you could take a couple of paracetamol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen tablets before you go to bed to lessen the chance of a headache first thing in the morning.

  24. i read this in wikipedia cause i didn't know what symptoms a hangover causes

Hangovers are multi-causal. Ethanol has a dehydrating effect by causing increased urine production (such substances are known as diuretics), which causes headaches, dry mouth, and lethargy. Dehydration causes the brain to shrink away from the skull slightly.[4] This can be mitigated by drinking water or an oral electrolyte solution after consumption of alcohol. Alcohol's effect on the stomach lining can account for nausea. Because of the increased NADH production during metabolism of ethanol by the enzymes alcohol dehydrogenase and aldehyde dehydrogenase, excess NADH can build up and slow down gluconeogenesis in the liver, thus causing hypoglycemia.

  25. drink a glass of milk and eat a piece of bread before you go to bed.

then your stomach settles and you wont wake up with a headache

  26. take two paracetamol pills before sleeping

    HELPZ LOADS

    Trust me

  27. eat bread and drink cofee, or if that doesn't work, have some oreos... really works

  28. For every drink (shot, beer, glass of wine, etc..) drink a full glass of water.  If this is a ridiculous amount at this point, just basically drink as much water as you can.

I've found hangovers to be avoidable for the most part as they're mostly from dehydration.

  29. Nothing you can do to prevent it.  Sleep a lot.

  30. drink a lot of water- a hangover is severe dehydration

  31. Here are some ways to prevent and eliminate hangovers. I have found this article helpful many times in the past! I hope you do too...
