How to prevent adult sites from popping up in my browser. how are these acquired?

i cannot go directly into my desired website instead these adult sites keep on displaying on my browser window

your infected with a virus/adware/trojan. Get a virus scanner and that should remove it

well. you could try taking your internet firewall into a higher level, or just go and download a pop-up blocker. :)

most likely someone used your computer & visited there before. otherwise use a pop up blocker.
