How to prevent clothes from "creasing" after being folded and in a drawer?

I like to fold tank tops, sweatshirts, and t-shirts, but after a week or so of being folded in a drawer, they have "fold lines" down the middle of the back and front. I know that not all of my friends have this problem, so what can I do to prevent this? Am I doing anything wrong?

  1. Well, there are two ways to fold up your clothes.  The one you used is a bit easy and common way which usually used at home.  Why not do as the way as at the shopping malls.  first of all ... spread your shirts( the back side), t-shirts on a flat surface, such as bed or on the laundry machine.  Then fold the sleeves into the body no matter you fold it straightforward or tilt way( if it got long sleeves), and fold the shoulder part into half to collar sides.  Then fold up from the buttom of shirt into 3 times to the chest.  Then you wouldn't have any such fold line from back to the front.  At least, this type of folding is much more professional and commercial way.

Also you could hang the shirt you would like to dress up in next following day from your drawer and hang it in the bath room after you take a shower.  The steam from the shower also could straight up those fold lines.

  2. Roll the tanks rather than folding them, to avoid any front or back creases.  Fold the T's and sweatshirts as shown on this "How to Fold a T-Shirt in 2 Seconds" video:

That is standard factory fold, and makes for a smooth front and back appearance of the shirt, no matter how long it stays folded.
