Question:

How to prevent ingrown hairs/razor bumps when shaving legs [male]?

I just recently started shaving my legs because as I've gotten older my legs have just gotten terribly hairy to the point where its gross. So i started by using nair to just get rid of it all, but i'm guessing since im a male with coarse hair it doesnt work as evenly as it does with females? ill get uneven patches of completely removed and some not so much. then the next few days razor bumps/ingrown hairs what ever you want to call them start showing up all over my thighs and its very unattractive. even more so then the hair. i've tried different nair creams and razors and soaking my legs in warm water and even acne medicine with salicylic acid. none of which as worked. i know that everyone says your supposed to shave with the grain of your hair but it doesnt feel as smooth as it does shaving against the grain.

so long story short can anyone help?

:x

  1. man up. i got real hairy legs..it doesnt bother me. be a man, dont shave your legs.

  2. i think u should use a trimmer instead of razor.its very good to avoid in grown hairs.only drawback is this it does not completely remove the hair from root but i think its better than to suffer the pain.

Conair trimmer is best for this.

  3. i like hairy legs!!!!!(on guys of coarse...)!!!!!

  4. Sally Hansen's hair remover spray for coarse hair. Look for it wherever you found Nair, it's a blue spray bottle.
