how to prevent my son to watch pokemon cartoons. he is so addicted in that shows and he memorize all the pokemon character instead to study in class. ill give 10 pts to the best answer.

Turn the TV off - tell him, no more Pokemon until you know your school work as well as you know the Pokemon characters.

I'm sure all young boys his age watches pokemon too. Just tell him that they are going to cancel pokemon...forever. Or tell him that the monsters will come and get him in his sleep.

you could have him earn tv time, that way you get something out of it. or maybe have him read a book to earn pokmon. or have him memorize chemistry elements since he will have to learn them anyway. O = oxygen? he sounds pretty smart. you could even get creative and put a board up with stickers. a sticker for a chore, so many stickers = pokemon. Good luck

He'll grow out of Pokemon.  Be interested in what he is doing, ask him about Pokemon. Get him some Pokemon reading books.  Don't fight it.  (don't fight your kids at all)  Go with the flow and he'll love you for it.  Look into Pokemon Learning League.

There is a button, on your TV...it's called the POWER button.  You click it to make the TV go off.  If that doesn't work, there is a cable that goes from your TV to the wall to give it power, pull that.  That should work.

When my twin daughters were 6 we got rid of the TV. They read a lot and didn't really miss the TV. Didn't get another one until long after they left home. The less drastic solution is for you to exert your authority as the parent and turn off the TV!

If you catch him watching it, maybe consider putting a block (parental control) on that show. Try and talk to him about how important it is to study and work hard. I'm sure you have already done that but keep talking to him about it.

You are the parent, you control the TV.  If Pokeman is interfering with school, there will be no TV and no visits to friends house until his studies improve.  Study first (as parent, you must test his knowledge of the studies to make sure he is really studying) and TV is last.
