How to prevent shiny skin?

My skin gets really shiny and I always look terrible in photos, is there anything that can be done to either reduce this or cover it up?

I use oil free mosturiser on it just now.

I am willing to use a little make up but I really don't want to use a lot and i'm scared I would use too much.

  1. I have the PERFECT solution...go into superdrug and buy yourself their brand of shine control paper, it works brilliantly and its about £1...i use them all of the time. GO GO GO!

  2. but some pressed powder on your face or pressed concealers ( it looks green but when u put it on its clear )

  3. use oil blotting sheets. they should sell them in drugstores, or at skinstore.com. just press them on your face, and it will get rid of most of the oil, so your skin is not too dry, but not too oily. :]

  4. Use a face wash that prevents oily skin.

But only use it twice a day, because it is possible to over-wash your skin, which results in even more oil being produced.

I personally use a deep-cleansing cream made by Neatragina(spelling? =b) that seems to work.

also, you should keep oil-blotting pads with you, so when you feel greasy or shiny, just dab it on.

    like those.

and  i dont advice makeup, because it can make you even more greasy. however, you can wear something really light. Bare Minerals has some good makeup, but it's kinda expensive, so only get it if you need to wear makeup. but sounds like you said you already dont. =]

    good luck

  5. a powder foundation is best, and as you get shiny just keep applying. Its fine cuz it doesnt clog your pore. Pluz moisterizer is the best for helping.

  6. wash your face

  7. I have really shiny skin too...I feel your pain!!

Use Johnson&Johnson brand Clean and Clear oil blotting sheets. They come in a little blue pack, and they literally suck the oil off your face! haha..sounds gross, but they work awesome, I couldn't live without em!

  8. put some oil free pressed powder on your face

    reduces shine

  9. you should just use some oil blotting sheets first before you jump to make up. u can find them at walgreen's. they shouldn't cost much and they really help soak up the oil from your face. try this and see if you like it. if your not completely satisfied. then try some powder. hope this helps. and good luck,

  10. You can get this cream which is a texture like clear gel that you put on like foundation its a bit like antiperspirant for your face, takes off all the shine and leaves a matt finish and no one will know your wearing anything as its clear. - Bad news is that i got some from Turkey but i have no idea if you can get it any where else. I certainly havent seen it in the UK. At least now you know it exists though!

  11. I have the same problem and I just use a little blot powder. I suggest you get it at Mac, they make the best makeup. Or you could try this stuff you can get at Origins. I'll put links for both. Oh and btw if you don't want to look like you are wearing makeup then just get the light color blot powder. For me the blot powder works the best but you could try both. Good Luck.
