I started my Day Care 3 months ago; and to this day I don't have any children. I had ads on the Penney Saver, I have car doors signs on my car, I put flyers on peoples door, none have helped.

  1. Maybe put an add in a newspaper?

  2. try to get with someone who can do commericals and try to get them broadcast on the major tv stations in your area all through out the day

  3. This is pretty common. What usually works is to go out and meet people. Make friends and talk to lots and lots of people (at parties, work, etc), and once you get to know them and they have kids, tell them about your day care. That usually always works. Also tell people you already know about it. Good luck with your buisness!

  4. Register with your local Child Care Coordinating Council. Compare your rates with other local providers. Ask a few people to criticize your flyers. Do you have a weird name for your day care? What are the questions that parents who call are asking and if you can, call them and ask them why they decided to go someplace else...perhaps you don't interview well. If they come to look and then don't sign up, perhaps there is something that is very unappealing, like a smokey house or cat litter odor or not very clean.

    Good luck!

  5. See the community center where you live.

  6. put signs outside elementary schools, or other places litle kids hang out, you might appear as a pedifile or something, but itd get you attention.

  7. u get famous, then get everyone to go to0 ur store

  8. If you are a home based day care home -

    1.  Start with classifieds in your local newspaper.  State why you are special - First Aid Trained; smoke free home; vegan home; Christian home; Muslin home - be specific if you are home based.

    2.  Register today with your local referral agency.  The YWCA is my local one, but many exist.

    3.  Contact your county/local family services.  Often these agencies will accept providers on a reimbursement basis.  So you would take care of children from parents that can't afford it and you are paid after the fact by the agency.

    4.  Network (means going out and talking with others at business meetings).  In my community we have several small Chambers of Commerce that have lunch meetings - guests are always welcome - go and get seen.  Have business cards.  My community also has a Women's Network that has women (and most are mothers) from all walks of life and businesses.  Many need care.

    5.  Do flyers, use color, have someone check your grammar and spelling and put where parents go regularly - grocery stores; dance studios; health clubs.  DON'T use the tear off at the bottom - get an envelope and put your business cards inside - DON'T put your address on your business card or flyer - just the general location if you are home based.

In short, it is all about building personal relationships.

  9. Hello, the best ways that you can advertise it, will be in radio, there is a whole lot of people that listen to radio, make a website in the internet and submit it do different directory submitter, here is a link where you will find sites to submit your website, go to www.bestsource06.com, and if you need a domain for your daycare go to www.bestsource06.ws
