How to promote sims 2 employees to manager!?

Question

I have a lot and my sims are quite rich and own a business, sometimes I cannot find the option on an emplyee to promote them to manager, why is this?

Also whenever I leave the community lot, everyone else leaves also and the manager goes home, is there any way I can make them stay!?

i cant be certain but first of all - you cannot have a manager on a home business

to get people to stay on the lot you need to ask the manager to look after things - it comes up once the manager is selected

i think as well that to have someone be a manager they need 5 badge points - every gold badge is 3 pts a silver is 2 and a bronze is 1
